St Joseph’s RC Primary School

Description: Several extensions to an existing and in-use primary school involving strip foundations, beam & block flooring, external paving (featuring permeable drainage systems), flag-on-edge retaining walls. A MUGA (Multi-Use Games Area) pitch is also part of the scheme.
Royal Works, Clayton-le-Moors

Description: An unstable boundary wall led to some urgent works at this industrial engineering site. DTM Groundworks Ltd were employed to first of all carefully remove the 100 year old original engineering brick wall and make the site safe. A new concrete foundation was then installed below the existing road level. DTM Groundworks Ltd then constructed a new interlocking concrete ‘Lego’ block retaining wall. Once installed the wall was backfilled, landscaping works carried out and a new powder coated 868 twin-wire mesh fence was installed to the top of the wall to secure the site. The work was completed within a few weeks with the site remaining open and secure throughout the works. Photos can be seen to the right.

Description: Design and installation of a base and disable access ramps for an external smoking shelter. The works involved earthworks, hardcore fill, installation of formwork and in-situ concrete hardstandings.

Description: Installation a new in-situ concrete retaining wall including bulk excavation works, foundations and backfilling to levels. This was carried out on a tight residential site and provided the client additional off-road parking from which electric car charging could be carried out away from the public highway.
Kwik-Fit, Salford

Description: Installation a new surface-water drainage system to the forecourt of this busy vehicle maintenance workshop. The work was carried out during working hours whilst the facility was open to the public. Working closely with the team on-site and carrying out the works in sections, protected by safety barriers and road plates minimised both cost and disruption for the client.

Description: Installation of ACO-style linear drainage channels, new foul-drainage to service new toilet facilities plus kerbing and paving works to this busy tyre and maintenance workshop. Careful planning and sequencing of the works allowed the facility to remain open to the public.

Description: Several extensions to an existing in-use school involving raft foundations, external paving, flag-on-edge retaining walls, flagged ramps and steps with turfing to the oft landscaped areas.
Sheffield Community Arena
Client: B&E Boys Ltd
Description: DTM Groundworks Ltd carried out reinforced concrete ground beams with permanent formwork and cast-in bolt boxes along with two tanked reinforced concrete lift pits. The project also involved extensive external works with a permeable paving system, stainless-steel bollards and feature stone seating. A new electricity substation and BT ducting were also completed along with foul and surface water drainage systems.
